Hi, I am currently on chlomid, 50mg days 2-6.

cd 9-11 I had a faint 2nd line on an opk. It then disappeared. Day16 and 17, I had a very strong second line, although not qutie as strong as the test line. Today, day 18 it has gone again......

so my question is, have i ovulated already? Do you think we should still keep bding? We bd'd around day 10 and then also day 16 (we are very busy at the mo, so not much energy :( ), anyways, should we still bd? Or do you think we have done all we can do? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks and good luck to all.

Did you test with the OPK's once a day or twice a day? Sometimes it is possible to "miss" a LH surge because it happens so quickly that it occurs between tests. Many women use OPK's twice a day in the middle of their cycles when they sense a surge coming on. the best time to test is midday or afternoon for many women.

Also, if you chart your temp (BBT) you will know for sure that you ovulated each month after you see your temperature rise. Thats really the only way to know for sure. That coupled with using OPK's can give you an idea of the best time to BD and when you can stop BDing :) :dust:

I've been following your story, and how you describe it, it sounds like the 2nd one could be the surge. But I agree with jokerette, the only way to know for sure of when BD'ing is no longer important is when you get the temp rise. If you BD'd on day 16 then I would BD today for good measure and then that way if day 16 was a true surge you are covered and shouldn't have to worry anymore. Also, the line has to be the same color but not the same thickness. I've had some that looked not as dark since they were more skinny. Good luck!

thanks ladies.

I am getting really fed up at the minute! lol, I dont' know what I am doing. And this is going to sound odd, but I think chlomid is really messing with me mentally as well. :( I dind't think it did, but then the last few days, I have thought it (as I am being a bit forgetful adn getting confused easily), and tonight my dh said 'what the hell is wrong with you..... your hormones are nuts this month!'. lol.

I unfortunatley don't chart my temps :( I did, but they were always all over the place and I stopped. maybe I should try again now I'm on chlomid. Thanks again.

Good luck to you all. Let's hope we all get a lovely christmas present! x
