Light pain on right side

I am about 6 weeks. I keep having a slight pain on my right side. I've read about round ligament pain but I thought it happens in the 2nd trimester? and why is it only on one side? I keep reading about ectopic pregnancy and it scares me.. Need to stop "Google-ing". I have my first Dr appointment next week due to me being very anxious, my age 37, and this pregancy was a (good) surprise.

Hi and congratulations on your pregnancy! You're right....Dr.Google is no good for us preggo women but we just can't seem to help it. I drove myself crazy looking up things constantly in first tri.
Is the pain a very quick sharp pain when you're on the move sometimes, especially when you get up quickly from being sat down? This happened a lot to me during first tri right from around 4 weeks and was mainly on my left side but every now and again on the right, very low down low down.
Of course, if there's something you're worried about it's always best to mention it to your doc.

I'm having this too! if I get up quickly, it feels like I'm pulling a muscle. This is mostly on my right-hand side, but occasionally on my left.
How odd!
