Ok so iv noticed today iv felt soooo worn out and achey and alot of braxton hicks and now i have a light period type cramping in my back and abdomen and sometimes in my leg and i just went the loo and lost a big peice of my mucas plug didnt have any blood but i can tell its my mucas plus iv been losing it for the last week. Anyone else get this menstral type light cramping? Im 37 weeks on monday. Not sure what to do :S also he hasnt been as active today but i thought maybe hes been having a lazy day as he has those. But with all this put together its making me a little unsure what to do :S ok also my back right by my bottom is hot like a burning feeling and some of my tummy too like hot needles r going into them :S

i was up at the hosp during the middle of the nite on wed going through something similar minus the plug loss.
the mw said they look for tightening happening round about every 7 mins or less to confirm labour so maybe keep an eye on how often the tightening is happening .
luckily mine settled down within a few hours which is just as well cause im only 29 weeks.
u could be going into labour or it could just be braxton hicks.if in doubt maybe go see the mw and get put on the monitor to check.
good luck xx

Contractions usually feel like period cramps and then radiate up around your bump and can go around your lower back. Keep an eye on them, if they get to be very close together and lasting a minute in length I'd go it to get checked.

I had period pains and a bit of snot in my pants (turned out to be my plug) but they came on a regular 5 minute interval cycle which was when I rang the hospital. In my case it turned out to be my membranes leaking prematurely and went into full-blown waters going with the pop and proper labour within 24 hours.

I had period pains the other day but was told it was normal. Im getting stabbing pains in my bum and foof also but again, been told its normal. xx

I should clarify that if the period type cramps are consistant and pretty steady, it's normal and no need to worry. But if you are noticing a pattern, where they stop and start and stop and start is when you need to look into it :)
