I am looking to buy a lightweight stroller for my 8 month old daughter as the one I have (Silvercross 3D) weighs a lot and I am finding it difficult to lug it around public transport and for holidays.

I looked at some reviews and liked the Maclaren Globetrotter, but it doesnt have a leg rest so not sure how comfortable that would be. Has anyone used this?

Also any suggestions on other lightweight, one hand fold pushcahirs would be very helpful.

Thanks

I have the Silvercross Linear Freeway and the McClaren XT Techno, i love the McClaren as its lightweight and fits into most cars and DD is comfortable in it x

Bugaboo Bee, there are lighter out there but it is a wonderful pushchair!

It measures 34x45x90 when folded. It just fitted in the boot of my mini folded- I read on your other thread about the cameleon that you had a corsa, so should easily fit. I also know someone who has had a bee in their smart car.

We have the zeta vooom. I love it! She has an icandy apple but needed a lightweight buggy for the odd trip. She so comfy and the sun shade is excellent (tho not used much in Scotland! But handy as a wind-shade ;) ) can be used from birth too, the leg rest can go straight out or fold down when they get bigger.
It comes in lovely colours too, but since my oh is boring we got black with White polkadots. :)

We have the Mamas and Papas Kato... We bought it when we had a 3d, for exactly the same reasons! Xx

We have the Quinny yezz in Pink! it is absolutely tiny when folded and you can carry it over you shoulder like a bag and not even notice it! I find it supper useful now my LO wants to walk a lot of the time!

We have the Baby Jogger City Mini and LOVE it. It is quite light for a stroller of its size, but its definitely not an umbrella stroller if thats what you're looking for. It folds with one pull and I am able to carry it with one hand :flower:

Petite Star Zia + is excellent and folds really small.

I have a Cosatto Yipi... £100 in Argos, it's half price atm :) I got one about 3 months ago. We have a silver cross cargo which is pretty huge and too big for going shopping. It's suitable from birth, can be reclined and the basket underneath is pretty big :)

XxX

Thanks for all the suggestions. Now I have lot more options, so will browse around all the ones.

Hi Lettuce, I'm thinking of getting this pushchair, but cant find the height of the handles anywhere in the description! Do you think a taller person could manage to push it? I was looking at maclaren strollers but they are soooo expensive!

I'm five seven and find it dead comfy. My husband is 6ft and has no bother. Think my 6ft 2" bro liked it and my mum is only 5ft 2" and finds it no bother! It's pretty comfy to push, I have carpel tunnel still and it doesn't bother me. :) I don't have it in the flat ATM, it's in the car or I would have measured it for you. :dohh:

I've just chosen a Chicco Liteway as I'm only 5ft and found alot of the handles too high. I tested quite a few in Babies R Us and Mothercare, and found this felt the nicest. I hope I've made the right choice. And if you order something on Babies R Us by midnight use JULY20 code for 20% off! (I also ordered a Britax First Class Plus car seat coz of this deal)

Oh that's good to know! Thanks so much for replying Lettuce, I'm going to place an order on amazon now...... if I can manage to choose a colour lol!!! Thanks again xx

No bother, hope you get on ok with it! :) xx

Thanks Lettuce. The Zeta Vooom looks good and amazingly priced too. Can this be folded quick, one handed?

There is a handle at the top of the basket, you pull it to unlock the mechanism, then click another pedal with your foot to unlock the next part, go back to the original handle and pull and the whole thing colapses, and as it folds there is a plastic catch that locks it together, meaning you can just pick itup one handed and no worries about it reopening. It's got a sturdy wee handle at the side too. :) hope that helps. I usually do it one-handed. Xx
