Im hoping someone may have some advice! We currently have a Silver Cross Linear Freeway travel system, which has been great. LO is 7.5 months and I'll soon be going back to work - she is going to my mum so we want to get a lightweight stroller that can be kept at my mums house.

We've looked at Silver Cross Zest and Mamas and Papas Kato - we don't really want to spend over £100.

Any recommendations?

Maclaren triumph is a great light weight pushchair. I got mine for £80 from kiddicare. The maclaren volo is even more lightweight but no recline feature.

Had a quick look on Kiddicare but all the Maclaren pushchairs are £135+, so really over our budget!

I got mine when they were discounted and I got a 5% discount for partner working at Morrisons, maybe that was it!

I've heard loads of people have had issues with the wheels on the silvercross pop but silvercross is a really popular brand.

We just bought the babyweavers jet stroller from Kiddicare, its reduced to £33! So far so good! Its got good reviews, and we've tried both my lo who is 4 months and my neice who is 9 months in it and they both seemed very comfy in it, and they love looking at the pattern inside the hood, haha!

Its got a nice padded seat, reclines and has a good size basket. We bought it for my mum to keep at hers as she struggles with our heavy travel systems and for the price seems to do a good job!

I recently purchased the baby start ria 3 wheeler in the berry colour. It's cheap as chips from argos. I wanted a 3 wheeler as I find them much easier to manoeuvre, and this pushchair is very lightweight. It's nice looking too and very sturdy. I've loved it since I got it. Massive shopping basket underneath too. Think it's currently in argos for 49.99 in black. It proved its worth yesterday when I had to fold the pushchair to get on the bus, whilst holding LO and a heavy change bag! Hope you find a pram your happy with! Xx

I just bought a hauck torro, I love it. Light, easy to get up and down, comes with all the bits. From kiddiecare it was £99 I think. Came out this year so not many reviews but I'm glad I bought it. It was this or the petite star zukko.

Hello we have just bought the Kato from mamas and papas. Think it was £69. We are quite pleased with it, have used it a couple of times. The main use will be for holidays, as I dont want our Baby Jogger one trashed by the airlines!

We have the kato and I love it. Reclines flat all the way. Had it 2.5 years and used it as our holiday / occasional pushchair and no issues at all. Husband doesn't like pushing it but that's just the difference between a stroller and a proper buggy I suppose.

Thanks for all the replies! I'm a bit confused now!!! So much choice!

Horseybird and Millsny - interesting that you both like the Kato - after reading the reviews online, I was a bit put off, but me and my mum like the look of it and it seems like a really good deal?

zeta voom is really popular near me and really cheap, available on amazon. They have a large hood which is great in summer :flower:

Agree. Just home from holiday with this one. It had a great recline and LO slept in it every day no problem. And shes never napped anywhere but in her cot before

I've got a Silvercross Pop and have been using it every day since DD was born. Not had any problems with the wheels and I love it. DD also loves it and will happily sleep in it. It's quite a tall pushchair compared to others, I'm 5'9 and find the handles are a perfect height for me whereas when my sister pushed it she said it was too high (she's 5'4).

It fully reclines and has a pull out visor bit on the hood for more coverage :)

Ooh, maybe no good for us then - I'm 5'4, and my mums only 5'2!!!

In my experience only people with a grudge write reviews! I bought the m&p herbie as my travel system in a snap decision. I then read reviews which were all absolutely awful! I love my herbie and its still going with 3 years of constant use.

Re silvercross pop, my sil has one and had loads if problems. Their customer service was good and they were loaned a buggy whilst it was repaired but the wheels have always squeaked and they've had issues with it.

Just a point re the Zeta Voom - they are great value and very sturdy and a great hood/shade, I actually bought one but when It arrived it was so heavy. I actually sent it back and bought a mamas and papas Tour which is much lighter. So it just depends if it is lightweight that you're looking for, the Vooom may not be for you x

Ha! Think you may be right! My mum really likes the Kato and as she'll be using it 3-5 days a week, i think we should go and have a proper look at it and then decide.

Really appreciate your advice!
