Though this may help some people who are worried about their upcoming c-section and what the scar will be like.

The one with the staples looking quite alarming! I had one long running stitch which got taken out after a few days and i didn't feel a thing. If i had seen the staples pic before my section i would have been scared to death lol x

Oh my gosh, I think some of those would have scared me before my section! Mine looks like the 7 weeks scar, it was always just a little red and raised but its fading now.

It took me a while to accept my post pregnancy body but now I am definitely proud of my scar and what it represents

Xx

I have had 3 c-sections and my scars do not look like that, I had my baby 4 months ago and my scar is barely there anymore. Those pictures would have scared me if I saw them before.

I thought it offered a good variety or good to bad....I felt number 7 image is pretty accurate overall and average, and is how I was after 3 or 4 weeks. xx

Omg staples are so barbaric!!!!!

I had the stich internally Aswell (I think that's the long running stitch) I am only 3 weeks pp and u can hardly tell

some of those are horrible! ive had 2 sections and you can barely see my scar, i cant even feel most of it, its like the last pic but even better, some areas you would never think had been cut, yet alone twice :)

My scar is so much worse than any of those. I had a vertical incision, staples and sutures. It looks like I was butchered, midwives told me to demand reconstructive surgery, but I was too embarrassed  Plus my wound has only just healed up (my daughter is 21 months), as I had infections and my Dr said he thought the internal sutures were trying to work their way out. Ah, the things we mummies have to put up with

to be honest, after having 2 c-sections (on EM one EL ) my scars looked nothing like any of those. my scar is hardly visible now.

this was mine just after my wee man:

Some of those scars do look quite scary but I suppose people heal differently. It took a while before I wanted to look at mine (too squeamish!) but when I did look I was quite pleased it was so neat. The surgeon did a brilliant job. It is sensitive to touch but I think it always will be. It's definitely not painful though. I had internal stitches. Those staples look painful!

I had staples following my first emergency c section and I thought it looked a lot worse than those photos! (I had really awful swelling below and around the scar and bruising, I had 20 something staples as they had had to make the wound larger than usual to try and get DD1 out).
DD2 was an elective (I was not a suitable candidate for VBAC due to the "degree of surgery" and uterine rupture during DD1's delivery) and I had a running stitch and none of the frightening swelling (honestly I thought they had stitched me up wrong or something!)

I had staples for both of my c-sections and they don't hurt at all. I couldn't feel a thing when they were taken out (6 days after surgery).

My scar is barely visible now and that's after 2 c-sections.

Wow Mine looks way better than those!
I had an emcs and staples
This was 3-4 months after cs

I have to really look to see my first line, my dd is 8m and the line is still a hair more noticable. I had te glue though, so no staple or suture marks. It's so smooth and barely noticable! Even the dcs were amazed how well
I healed when i went for my first pp checkup!

By the time I got out of hospital on day 4 mine looked like no 7. It's barely visible now x

I had a ecs and I had lots of staples it honestly looks worse than it is getting its still numb around my scar feels strange still but its shrinking still and fading healed uip very fast:)

I had my planned C-section on the 12th July and had a single stitch (one continuous thread) this was removed on day 5 and today is day 17 and have had no problems. This photo was taken on day 15.

Are you using a scar cream/lotion, because your scar looks good! I used Kelo-cote for mine and it worked great for me!
