I know some of you are against any medications during pregnancy & that's fine. I can respect that. I just see so many women questioning what's safe to take while pregnant, especially those that aren't far along enough to see their doctor. I saw mine at 6 weeks and was given that lovely "Welcome to Pregnancy" kit most places give you. Mine also included a list of medications and things that are okay to take for all sorts of different reasons, so I thought I'd share.

Really great list! Some of the things are probably not available here or are called something else but there are some things which are the same so thank you very much for this! :D

You're welcome. I meant to make a disclaimer that I'm obviously in the US so I'm not sure what you have in the UK or anywhere else but those of you who do live elsewhere, feel free to add anything. I can edit it into my post :)

It's odd they have Oscal on there. My MW told me to avoid any Calcium from oyster shell or bones. She said they can have heavy metals in them.

I Googled and this is something I found about that, "Calcium supplements such as Os-Cal and Caltrate are fine to take while you’re pregnant. During your pregnancy, you should consume 1,200 mg to 1,500 mg of calcium daily from all sources – supplements and food."

However, I would never suggest taking something your doc has warned against regardless of what my doc may have said.
