LO rolling not crawling

Will is 29 weeks (7 months) and has been rolling over onto his front and back again for a while.
While I believe he will crawl when he's ready, I am starting to worry he has figured out rolling can get him everywhere so he doesn't need to do anything different!
Has anybody else's LO just rolled to get around?
We have a wooden floor so once he rolls off the mat I panic he will bang his head although so far he seems to have realised he needs to lay his head down gently

I was reading a diary last night that i did for my ds first year (now 5) and between the ages of 7-9 months he learned to sit confidently, roll everywhere, stand and then walk, all in the space of 2 months so you never can tell how they will develop. I was quite amazed re-reading it!

Thank you - I should know everything is fine (he's my 4th child!) but I do worry he will hurt himself. And while I know there will be lots of tumbles I don't want him to hurt EVER.
I'm sure I'll be panicking even more once he is more mobile.
