Lochia or period?

So today I am 5 weeks pp and for the last two weeks I have had the yellow lochia discharge with no blood. I still needed to use a pad but it seemed to be letting up until last night when I noticed blood. I haven't had any pms like symptoms but I'm wondering if this is my first period after birth already or if lochia bleeding can come back intermittently ?
