Hi all, im new here and would love to hear from anyone who may have complications like me??

Im currently 34weeks pregnant, at 25weeks I was admitted to hosp with severe low abdom pain, was suspected apendicitus, which was eventually ruled out after almost 2weeks, numerous scans and bloods etc. Whilst there I was found to have cholestasis - not really a worry to me as I had it in 2 previous pregnancys - just an addition to complications in this one though! Well no diagnosis was given for my abdom pain, I was sent home on prescription co-codamol and told as I was being monitored for cholestasis, they would keep ontop of abdom pain too.
A week later I was admitted again with severe constipation - due to the co-codamol... pain was horrendous, I had a serious blockage that 2 doctors refused to go near as the swelling was so severe, my bowel and birth canal were almost torn - a senior doctor performed a manual evacuation, and over the next few days i was given 2 enemas - which did nothing, aswell as the above i was on 4 different laxatives a day. It eventually loosened up and i was allowed home, told I would probably have to take them until baby was born.
All through this i still had the constant abdom pain, which im only trying to control with paracetamol now. Ive been having twice weekly doppler scans and fortnightly growth scans, baby has been on 95th centile - big baby!
I was admitted again lastweek with +++protien but allowed home following 24hr urine test which was clear. I returned for my growth scan yesterday and baby is still transverse/breech (has been since 28wks) has stopped growing, she has been gaining 12oz a week, but has only gained 1oz in the last 2 weeks - its got me really worried.
Ive been told to monitor movements and return fri for my usual doppler scan, doctor has said I wont be allowed to go further than 37weeks due to cholestasis and abdom pain, and that a section may have to be arranged because of baby being transverse.
Ive had an irritable uterus for the last few weeks, lastnight i counted every tightening during an hour - I had 11, some strong and some with cramps. but because of my constant abdom pain, im afraid i cant tell the difference with labour starting - I have had 4 children but have been induced with them all so dont have a clue what the start of natural labour is like?!
Today ive had the odd short sharp stab pain in low abdom and my back aches - but dont know if its just normal backache, and the odd tightening, again some quite strong.
Not sure what to do, I realy dont want to be admitted again because it makes things hard at home, arranging child care for kids and my partner having to have time off work, but i also dont want my water to break or to go into labour as baby is transverse and it can be dangerous.

Sorry if ive gone on a little, i just want you to understand it all, and hope someone can help - hopefully tell me i dont have much to worry about.

11 Braxton-Hicks in one hour would be too many. If I were you, I'd call the doctor/midwife.

Sorry you're having such a rough time. :hugs:

Gosh, what a tough time you're having! I'm sorry you've not been able to enjoy your pregnancy thanks to all your problems, but the end is almost in sight for you now. If I were you, I'd get yourself checked over, it does seem to be a lot of tightenings over an hour, and I don't think braxton hicks are meant to hurt. Its always better to have your concerns checked with a professional, than sit at home worrying. I hope everything goes well for the rest of your pregnancy, And that you get to the bottom of all these pains soonies x

Hello skjor!
I didn't want to read n run....I'm sorry to hear you're having such a bad time :(
I can sympathise with lots of your problems though!!
I had a routine blood test two weeks as part of my lovely, normal pregnancy and then all of a sudden it got complicated lol :p
I was diagnosed with choleostasis, admitted to hospital, monitored, then went home taking the urso to try and bring my LFT's down! Since then have had a growth scan which shows baby has low amniotic fluid and reduced blood flow to the cord! So......hospital trips for me everyday until they decide its time for her to be born.
Its all stressful now.....but it will be worth it :) Try to stay positive!! xxx
