Hi, my names Charlie and I'm 24. me and my husband have now been TTC for 44 months and in that time I think I've ovulated twice. I have PCOS and resultant anovulation to the point where each natural cycle could take 18 months or so.
I'm being treated with Clomid and metformin and I'm on cycle 5 of Clomid currently with genuine hope its worked this month.
I had a TTC friend but she got her BFP about 2 months ago and I've been a bit lonely since.

hi huni how are you doing?? im 31 been ttc for nearly 4yrs. in the summer i had laproscopy and found out i had severe adhesions most probably caused by my cesarean when i had my son 11yrs ago. in aug i had a laparotomy to hopefully remove all my internal problems and enable me to concieve.
im now on my second cycle of clomid. will be ovulating next week so fingers crossed.
how have you found the clomid? ive been ok really apart from hot sweats. so weird.
im praying for a bfp after waiting sooooo long and we dont know if we will get ivf due to post code lottery :-((

I'm doing okay just symptom spotting waaaaay too early.

I know I don't qual for IVF because they don't do it in my PCT, but even if they did I wouldn't be eligible as my DH has a daughter.

FC the Clomid works for us both x x

god i hope so. i hate the pressure to bd constantly. it makes it such a chore doesnt it.
yeh dont think my pct would give us ivf either due to my son also. although my partner isnt his dad. its so unfair. we want a family of our own and my partner has no kids.
its alot of pressure for us all isnt it. knowing there is no other options for us.
its a shame we arent at the same stage in our cycle lol. go crazy together. i just NEVER see it happening for me. cannot imagin ever getting a bfp. its just my gut feeling. i try to be optimistic but i just cant :-((

I know what you mean hun, it's so stressful and each month you think it might be the one where in your heart you know it might never happen =(

Where are you in your cycle? x

im cd7 took my last tablet last night. i ovulate around cd16 even on clomid but ill start opks in a couple of days just in case it comes early.
do you feel you will one day get a bfp? im hoping this gut feeling of mine is just down to nearly 4yrs of let downs. i wish i had gone for help sooner. kept putting it off hoping it would just happen. totally put my head in the sand over it. xxx

I go through phases where I think it'll be this month, then that it'll never happen and then I wanna give up because it's taking over my life. I went for help almost straight away but they kept dismissing me for about 2.5 years which drove me mad.

ohhh my god that would have drove me nuts if they kept fobbing me off. i was very lucky. it was only last dec i went for my 1st appointment. within this time i have had all blood tests. hsg.ultrasound.sperm test. laproscopy and laparotomy. its been a very emotional year. im glad all them tests etc are over but ive just got to pray im all fixed and good to go.
need to start some positive thinking :-))

im a symptom spotter too. awful isnt it. every thing seems like a sign lol xxx

They just kep telling me it was the depo wearing off, then I was fat, then it was muscular pain not PCOS, then I finally got confirmation of PCOS which I'd suspected for years, then fat again then treatment. Stupid NHS

how annoying. i bet it drove you mad. at least your finally on the right track to a lovely bfp :-))

ive woke up this morning with really bad lower back pain. im only cd 8 so its not ovulation pain. its really hurting. do you know if this could be from the clomid?
xxxx

I've not had that from Clomid but I do get it from pcos for a fair few days before ov. that's usually one side of the other tho x x

I am 6+years of trying & trying & trying. Its tough. My doctor has also been no help. I was diagnosed PCOS 5 years ago. My insurance won't cover anything that is considered fertility treatments and we just financially can't afford self pay options due to how high the cost is. I can afford a beautiful bouncing baby though. I have an 11 year old daughter and I am thankful for her. But her father isn't the man I am with now. Her dad passed away when she was 2. I would love to have a family with him. He raises my daughter as his own and loves her. I am to the breaking point of this ttc. I am cd 19 with no + on my opk :( I am wondering if I even ovulate now.

I don't ovulate without medication. Metformin helps though. I'm sure you know but just in case you don't, losing weight can have a HUGE impact on PCOS along with a low GI diet.

yeah I have already dropped 57lbs and still losing. I was on metformin once but didn't like how I felt on it. I think I would try it again only because I am sure I can deal with it if I know it can work for me.

I had to switch to slow release Metformin because the normal one gave me a really bad stomach, it was awful x

I remember it felt like it messed with my blood sugars. I would get shaky and stuff on it. I will talk to my new doctor I am going to next week about it. Hopefully I can get him to help me.
