Looks like another long cycle ttc

Ahh ladies...
Looks like another long cycle.
Last cycle was my first coming off ocp and was an 134 day cycle. I did ovulate around cd122 confirmed by ultrasound and positive opk... Also has ewcm.

I was really hoping for a normal cycle this cycle. I dont want to wait 5 months again!!.

All tests and ultrasounds are normal.

Today im cd42 and still no positive opk.

Im pretty positive Ive had some ewcm the past few days but no POSITIVE opk...
A couple have been slightly darker than others but no positive.
Feeling a bit down....

Just wanting to vent and chat.

Wow that must be frustrating! After my first was born it took 5 months for my period to return (wasn't able to breastfeed her) then 3.5 months for my next period then two 39 day cycles then managed to fall pregnant on the next one. My second is 15.5 months old, I'm on cd24 after having my first period. I thought I was about to ovulate a few days ago as you can see on my chart...but nothing. It's a frustrating process, I can only imagine how you're feeling with such long cycles. Fx this one will be shorter

So sorry, that is really upsetting. Hang in there! It takes many women a long time to regulate after BCP. I know it sucks because you wanted a baby yesterday but just try and keep positive! XOXOXO and creepy internet hugs

Yes it certainly is frustrating. Something that should happen so natrually and easily is hard lol. And everyone...and I mean everyone around me is pregnant. My bestie， my sister... Other friends.. Im happy for them all but just wish I could join their joy.

I know really I havent been trying to ttc for that long realistically...but its just these long cycles.... If they were normal I could actually feel like I was ttc... Not just waiting waiting waiting... X

I'm from the States so not sure how your healthcare system works but here is my story.....

After I stopped BCP and my period did not come back naturally after 5 months so I did a progesterone withdrawal which resulted in a bleed but my period did not come back after because I was not ovulating. I had a couple of very short and light bleeds which I interpreted as my period but they were very far apart. I was referred to an OBGYN who gave me a ton of blood work which all came back normal, after another three month wait to "see what happens" I was diagnosed with PCOS. This was based on no natural periods and clinical observations of acne on my check/back and some hair growth on my chin (signs of high testosterone). The plan was to start me on Clomid before the one year ttc mark. Due to extenuating circumstances I didn't actually start Clomd until 12 months ttc. I knew something was wrong and I wanted a plan. I also had irregular periods before BCP. If you believe something is wrong than I suggest you advocate for yourself. I have no idea how things work in Australia. One woman said in the UK you can't see a specialist until one year of ttc no matter what the issue is. My doctor said "let's wait three months and see what happens, if you don't have a natural cycle then we will start Clomid". That three months was a long time but having the plan in place helped me forge ahead and keep my mind clear.

Of course my story has no bearing on your story, most likely your cycles will regulate soon but don't be afraid to advocate for yourself and have a plan in place.

Im glad someone is taking the time with you to do whats best to help start your family.

Here its generally a ttc for 1 year and then get referred.

I have a new doctor who is amazing and the one who ordered the ultrasound and bloods. She said wait till august seeing as all my tests were normal and then she will refer me on....which im happy with. Im just hoping in that time it just happens. But if not I believe my doctor will refer me on to whats best but if not I will be sure to put my foot down if I need to get the help.

I really hope we aren't waiting much longer..
And I hope the same for you.

Yay!
Fertility friend gave me crosshairs today and put me at 5dpo. I was so sure I hadn't even ovulated so I'm a bit excited too haha, not such a long cycle for me after all (hopefully). Hope we get our bfps so no more waiting waiting waiting

Sorry, this thread got lost in the masses.
I got my BFP at 10dpo
Went for a blood test the same day and negative Still getting BFP's though. Google tells me it's very common for a FRER to pick up a pregnancy and blood test to miss it. Seems blood tests aren't as sensitive as I thought.
Going to keep testing for a few days and go back to my doctor and show her my test progression so she doesn't think I'm mad

Oh my goodness. This is fantastic news. How execiting for you.
I still have about a week left before testing but im pretty sure it will be a negative. I have no signs or symptoms and just dont feel like this is the one. But.... At least that was a much much shorter cycle so that's promissing that the next will be even better
