So LO is 12 wks old.

I put on 2 and a half stone with him.

I lost 2 stone virtually straight away but this last half stone wont seem to shift !!!

I'd love to lose it for xmas.....you girls any tips ??

I suppose cutting out the Pinot and chocolate may help !!!

Hiya-similar to me-i put on around 2 stone and lost most of it within a week or two but i found i had half a stone left tio lose and needed to tone up. It took me a few months to feel able to get back to the gym however as i was so sleep deprived but i managed it get back into a routine and started weight watchers 7 weeks ago. Iv now lost 8 pounds and am 8 pounds lighter than when i fell pregnant! Myt stomach is loevly and flat.

You will do it, but don't put too much pressure on yourself ;)

thanks chic.....we're off on hol in feb so deffo want to shift by then x

i put on 4 1/2 stone  and lost 4 stone by 4 weeks. this last half a stone is SO annoying!

I'm in the same position! I've found magic hold em in knickers help!

i gained 65lbs. :O lost 30lbs immediately before owen was even a week old. he's just turned 5 weeks and i am down 45lbs. i only want to lose 10 more lbs because i was too thin before. but it will not budge for ANYTHING. i am very strict and follow what i plan to. i just don't know why it won't budge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i still have half a stone to go too! Lost three stone in ten days! started power walking with the buggy last week so that should help! Gym would help but i had a third degree tear and am trying to be a good girl and not go back till after the 6 week check.

I was hoping breast feeding would help with the last half stone but i am compensating with masses of choclate and toast!

Yup....me too !

It will have to take some time. The initial loss is quick but the rest is hard to shift.

I go to the gym 4x a week (heavy weight training, cardio) and eat at a calorie deficit, not BFing, and I'm struggling to lose 2-4lbs a month max. I was an athlete and into bodybuilding before the pregnancy so I know I'm doing everything right, but fat loss does take quite some time and your hormones leftover from pregnancy make it difficult as well.

Good luck, but give yourself a break too because biologically your body doesn't want to lose fat after having a baby :) It's about tricking nature too....

I gained just over 2 stone when pregnant & also lost it all almost immediately, (probably due to having a section in Spain where they only feed you watery soup for 3 days post op)!! However, we had none stop visitors since my LO was born almost 6 months ago & I've managed to gain 9 lbs!!!! Can't believe it, I'm gutted!! My own fault for lack of will power & love of food....Started following Slimming World & walking more as desperate to lose some of it before Xmas as I know I'll gain it at Xmas with all the choccie!!

Jayne x

I gained 3 n half stone lost 2 about 4 weeks, started weight watchers 6weeks after birth as weightwatchers ur restricted to food and needed to shrink my stomach due to eating alot whilst preg, and lost 11 n half pounds in 3weeks i walk everyday at pace with the pram x

I haven't weighed myself since I was 3 months pregnant and my DS is now 3 months old. I'm slowly working my way back into my old clothes. Don't want to weigh myself as it'll probably just depress me :) Have eaten more chocolate in the last 10 weeks than I have in 10 years, but I blame the breast feeding :D xxx

This is so me! I never ate sweet things before I was pregnant and now can't get enough cake and choc! At almost 9 months post birth, I have just shifted the last of my 4 & 1/2 stone (!!) I gained during my pregnancy largely by exercising. Walking everyday at a fast pace has definately helped and I also swim and cycle once a week and climb twice a week. I still eat alot of cake though!

I wish I only had half a stone to lose! I put on around 4 stone with Alfie, I lost a stone after he was born, I've lost another stone and a half since and still have a stone and a half to go. I didn't put on as much weight with Evie and lost it all fairly quick but I found that the last half a stone didn't shift until I started exercising and toned up.

I gained 3 stone. Ive lost nearly all of it apart from 8lbs, but tbh, Im happy with how I look now. Ive done it by cutting out carbs, and eating sensibly with small portions.

I've heard that you lose a lot really quickly but if you are breastfeeding your body keeps about 7/8 pounds as like a reserve to ensure you've always got enough sustinence so try not to worry, it's not your fault, it's nature's way of looking after you and baby (that's what I'm telling myself anyway!!!).

that final half a stone is a s*d to shift!!!
I gave up after my first but I did only weigh 7.5 stone by then so I figured it was ok...
I have about 3/4 stone to go this time (23 weeks later) although I am not sure where it is because I am pretty much in all my pre-preg jeans.
I think it is my boobs still.
