Losing baby weight

I never lost the weight from the first pregnancy let alone this one.. will be following this thread for tips too lol!

btw.. breastfeeding does help lose weight initially.. but whilst you are still feeding, your body is very reluctant to give up its reserves fully.
 
I've heard that you lose a lot really quickly but if you are breastfeeding your body keeps about 7/8 pounds as like a reserve to ensure you've always got enough sustinence so try not to worry, it's not your fault, it's nature's way of looking after you and baby (that's what I'm telling myself anyway!!!).

I gained 5(!!!!!!) stone while pregnant. My own fault - I'd become addicted to controlling what I ate pre-preg and would go for days without eating so royally screwed my metabolism. Most of my gain was in the 1st tri - as soon as I started eating a normal healthy amount the weight piled on :(

Have 2.5 stone still to lose - Gonna start really trying when I have had my 6 week check up (which they wont do for me until 8 weeks). I know from experience that I need to really exercise as well as eat less to lose weight... and I need to be careful not to get back into bad habits because I honestly think I was on the verge of developing a full on eating disorder before.

What I will say is to ALWAYS have ready to eat healthy snacks in the house so that if you get peckish you don't have to resort to a quick and easy bar of choccie or biscuits etc. Before, when I lost 6 stone (but before I started being really naughty with the lack of food that I ate), I'd cook up quorn sausages and have them in the fridge ready to eat (I'm not a veggie but they're low calorie, filling and yummy IMO). Also cheesestrings, low calorie jelly pots, microwave bags of veg etc. Oh and not eating after 6pm really helped too - though I don't know if I'd manage that now I have a baby lol xx
