After suffering two mmc last year at the age of 23 I really dont know how much more I can take. Im currently 6 weeks pregnant again..had scan last friday which showed empty sac..was told too early. Booked for another scan tomorrow morning. Feeling morning sickness badly. Had some brown bleeding last week and now had a bit again today...and TMI it has this really foul smell to it...like rotten blood? :S had this with my last mc :(

so fed up :( really need some good stories :( what the hell is wrong with me!?

sorry hun i didnt want to read and run, ive only had one MC and ive just turned 25, i know youve probably heard it a million times but losses especially early ones are definitely not ur fault, over 60% of them are due to chromosome abnormalities and were destined not to make it from conception, so there is 100% nothing wrong with you!!the fact that its brown indicates old blood, and they say the sicker u are the better, so it all seems positive to me!! GL and fxd u see something tomorrow, keep me posted!!!

thanks hun, yeah I know what you mean...and I have read so many times that its more than likely chromosome abnormalities but it doesnt make it any easier...youll always find a way to blame yourself! My mmc's were both diagnosed at my 12 weeks scan after seeing healthy babies at 6 weeks, we lost them both at 9 weeks. Its so traumatizing. I really hope its good news tomorrow!

Im going to tell them about the brown stuff too...not that they can do anything..but itll make me feel better!

Aww, nothing is wrong with you AI! There's still hope for you little bean - it's still really early to see much. Hold on!

And you are still so young - if there's a problem (fingers crossed there isn't) there is still lots of time to figure it out and get it fixed. Sometimes, it's as simple as taking some hormones or aspirin. If it's bad news, make sure you get the care you need so you don't have to go through this again.

Please let us know how your scan goes. I'm thinking of you. *hugs*

Al how did you get on????????????????????

hey yeah we saw yolk sac..baby and a heartbeat! so pleased..still early days yet though!

Phew! Fingers and toes crossed for you. Get your feet up and relax. Hugs. xxxx

thanks ladies...Im having a little debate with myself at the moment. seen as the last two mc babies both stopped devloping at 8 weeks and a few days and the placenta had took over already Im wondering whether to go about taking low dose aspirin this time around incase there is problem with blood clotting in the placenta..?

on one hand I dont want to take them if it will do any harm and without consulting doctor
but on the other hand I dont want this baby to stop devloping at 8 weeks aswell then find out later on it could have been prevented!

hmmm what to do!

Al - go speak to your DR IMMEDIATELY and expalin your dilema.

If theres something you should be taking then nows the time to do so.

CONGRATS huni - musta been the biggest relief seeing the wee HB???

Yes I go to see my doctor thursday so will discuss this with her then. Yes seeing the HB is always so amazing. It really is a feeling you cant describe. But we saw the HB this time with the last two. So I cant get excited about it anymore. Not yet! But hopefully everything will continue to progress ok and then I will get super excited!

How are you feeling hun?

Of course you should discuss this with your doctor, but just wanted to tell you about my doctor's response to aspirin. I decided to start taking baby aspirin as soon as I found out I was pregnant even though I hadn't had any bloodwork to see if I had clotting problems (was supposed to go for mc bloodwork that week :dohh:). When I saw my doctor at 9 weeks and told him I'd been taking the aspirin, he wasn't at all concerned. He told me that he wasn't convinced that it was going to help, but that it certainly wasn't going to do any harm and told me to continue. I can't say for sure that aspirin made a big difference to this pregnancy, but it sure helped me cope. I needed to actively do something to try to help this bean along, and it made me feel as though I had more control over the situation. Placebo effect or not, I'm glad I did it. I wish you and your bean all the best :hugs:

thanks hun thats really helped, I have a box here it just says aspirin 75mg so I think I will start taking them I mean everywhere I have read it has said that it wont do any harm at all. But it will make me feel better taking them, as you said maybe a placebo effect. Thanks for your advice and glad everything is going well!

Al - just wanted to say hello and congrats after your last scan. I will pray that all continues to go well for you!

CONGRATS Al!!!!! everything crossed now that it all goes ok!! I dont think my bubs is doing so well, hcg level was 592 last tues, shouldve doubled three times by monday and were only 651. doc is monitoring hcg every 48 hrs then hopefully getting scanned next week when they can see more. does anyone know any positive outcomes of slow rising hcg at 5weeks? or just clutching at straws?

You should ask for a scan every week to check all is going well and maybe put ur mind at rest of another mmc?
