Hi Ladies.

Halfway through March I had a MC at between 10 and 11 weeks. I'd had spotting before hand but had attributed that to an ectropion ("cervical erosion") that I'd previously been diagonsed with (while not pregnant). I don't think the spotting was related to the MC.

I bled for about a week during MC, which seemed to stop properly. Then I started spotting again, followed by a larger bleed 2 weeks later, with now continued spotting! It's getting a bit tiresome.

I'm reasonably sure the spotting is still due to this ectropion thing, but a diagnosis would require the Dr taking a look at my cervix! I should probably go to the Dr regarding the spotting, but I'm so tired of being poked and prodded!

I hate to ask this, but can anyone relate their experience? I don't know if this weird second bleed is normal or if there is a "normal" in these situations.

I just want to have a no spotting time and then a proper period so that I can understand where my bodies at again and think about TTC!

Thanks!

It's possible that your body didn't rid all of the tissue the first time, which lead to the second bleed. Sometimes tissue gets stuck, which in turn does cause continous bleeds or spotting, so as much as you don't want to, I would recommend getting checked out one last time just to be sure. Sorry

Spotting is normal until you start your 1st AF after the mc. I don't have experience with natural mc, I had to go for a D&C both times, both times I spotted on & off until AF. 1st mc my period started 28 days after the D&C and 2nd time it was 22 days after the D&C

But I'd go for a checkup if you are worried.

Sorry for your loss xx

I know this is from a week ago but just adding my experience.. I had a miscarriage at 11.5 weeks, started as spotting, then turned to very very heavy bleeding...then I was spotting for a month. . I was followed and everything was gone and they also tracked my hcg down to 0... Sorry you had to go through this and hope everything is back to normal soon for you.

Thank you all for your comments. An update from me is that I didn't go to the Dr in the end as the spotting stopped, eventually. I hope to be approaching AF now as I've had some cramps and spotting again (!). I really just want this to happen now so next month we can TTC again. I was suggested to take a pregnancy test a couple of weeks after MC, which I did, but it still came back very faintly positive. I hope this won't effect AF, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I thought I was more or less ok now, but yesterday I found out that a good friend of mine is pregnant and due 10days before when I was going to be due. I was happy for her of course but it brought it all back again.

It's crap this, isn't it! :(

I'm sorry :hugs:

It can be very frustrating and disheartening when you're trying and everyone around you gets pregnant, especially while you're dealing with a loss. When the time is right you will get pregnant and have the most wonderful lo you could ask for, unfortunately until then all you can do is be happy for your friend. As backward as it sounds, I got a lot of joy from planning baby showers for my friendson while I was between dealing with losses and getting pregnant with dd. Not sure what it was about it that was so therapeutic, but it helped.

Good luck hun
