I had a scan last week and unfortunately baby had died, heartbeat stopped only less than 24 hours before due to my dates/measurements. I was 9 weeks gone. I have been through shock, denial, anger, upset and sure I will go through it all again.

I had the surgical removal on Monday (20th) and absolutely no bleeding and hardly any cramping since. I am taking this as a good sign that everything was removed and doctor did a good job....certainly helps me move on...slowly.

So I feel ok physically and wondering when I should try again? I know most advise say wait until first proper AF before ttc but has anyone tried before that, when they felt ready? Anyone got their bfp quickly by doing this or is it too risky for another loss??

Thanks all x x

Hey! So sorry you are going through this. I too had a D and C at 9 weeks back in April. Me and DH waited one cycle before ttc again. Doctor said to wait until first AF so the lining had time to build back up for a new preganancy. We are now on cycle 4 post MC and cycle 3 ttc. Hoping for a bfp soon. I personally don't think your more fertile after, but you have just a good a chance as any other fertile woman 😊 however some women do fall again very quickly I've heard!
Wishing you this best of luck and take care of yourself and give yourself any time you need to grieve x

Thank you trying4.....I am 42 so ideally want to ttc as soon as possible...but know it a probably ideal to try after first af....at least I'll have an idea what my cycle is and when I ovulate. Good luck to you x x

Sounds like a good plan 😊 as you said, it gives you the time to figure out what you body is doing. Your cycle should come back fairly quickly. Mine came just 29 days after my D and C and cycles have been 30 days since, so not bad 😊
Thank you so much and best of luck to you too. Take some time for you before AF arrives and be easy on yourself xx

:hi: mitchnorm glad to see you made it over here.

Sorry for both of your losses.

I was also almost 9 weeks and my specialist said I could try right away. His opinion was they like you to wait one cycle for dating purposes. I know everyone is different. We are NTNP until my first AF post miscarriage arrives. I'm 41 and completely get your age concern.

Feeling really sad about it....hoping its not the first of repeated miscarriages...happened so easily with my daughter :-(
