I found out i was pregnant a few weeks back + from that day everything seemed to just go so wrong.

A week after finding out i was preg i was taken into hospital because i started spotting and had some stomach pain. Done another test wish testsed positive.

But when i went for my 1st scan the midwife could find the sac but there was nothing in it. She said it looked like a 5 - 6 week pregnancy. Got kept in for the week + had to have continuous scans a blood tests to check my hormone levels which kept rising + rising.

They queried an eptopic pregnancy which meant i had to have an operation, they also done a d + c to remove the sac.

But i've been lookin through sites on the net and found out that quite alot of women have scans early on in the pregnancy + they also had just a sac but then a baby has grown after. I dont seem to quite understand it all. It's kinda confusin!!

I was told i'd had half a miscarriage thats why the d + c was performed, to remove what was left.

Has anyone else had this problem??

No I haven't had exactly the same, I had a MMC which meant my baby had died 3 weeks before the D&C. I know it's horrible and I can't blame you for doubting, but I'm sure they wouldn't have done this procedure if there had been any doubt. It's such a hard thing to come to terms with, but you will be ok! I'm so sorry for your loss

Hi there, I have not experienced this either but I couldn't read and leave. I am sorry you are feeling this pain and wondering. I think it is only natural to feel this way to want to second guess what is really going on. Like chilli said above I don't believe they would have went through with the procedure if there was any doubt.

This is no easy road that you are traveling right now! There is no easy fix or stop hurting button, only time. I wish you the best and this forum is a good place to come for reassurance that your headed in the right direction. I know some times I feel I have just completely left the road and and then I come here and these wonderful ladies help me and I am on my journey again. If that makes any sense??

I wish you the best and again am o sorry for your pain and loss:hugs:

If they were monitoring your HCG levels, you can be pretty confident that they would not have done the D&C if they had not known it was the right thing to do.
I'm so sorry for your loss
