I actually went through the same thing at 14 wks with my 2nd baby (first was a miscarriage) anyways her heart stopped beating at 14wks. She had a large neucal fold (fluid under the neck) and they suspected turners syndrome. The day we found out we lost her (at the time we didnt know it was a girl) we had a CVS done and later we found out she didnt have any signs of a chromosome disorder or turners syndrome. (we found out a few months later the results) I had a D&C 4 days later...they had to open my cervix as if I was going to give birth (I forget what the technical name for it was but it was basically compressed seaweed...not very big but longish pieces) when this seaweed got wet it expands and opens the cervix. They then put me to sleep and used the vacuum to extract the fetus. I didn't see the baby after or anything because I was asleep for the procedure but after I more felt emotionally drained and hormonal then anything. It's hard for sure
one of the hardest things I have gone through. Sending you massive hugs! xx
