Lots of blood in stool?

The last 2 days i've had lots of blood in my stools. I've had hemorrhoids throughout this pregnancy and have had a little bit of blood when i wipe, etc. but now theres a lot, like the toilet water is all red. I think its hemorrhoids, it hurts a bit and feels like when i had them before... but im not sure if i should go see a doctor or if this is normal. I just recently got put on Iron supplements because my blood sugar was low, dont think this has anything to do with it though. Any insight would be great, im getting paranoid!!

The interesting thing with blood is a few drops can make it look like you are hemorrhaging. Is it bright red? If it is, it is probably from your hemerrhoids. If your stools look black, that is time to grab the next doctor standing around. However, being that you are anemic, I would call your doc because you don't need to be losing blood when you are already fighting your iron levels, maybe they can give you something to heal them up Feel better, and good user name!

Sounds like hemerrhoids to me. I had lots of bleeding earlier this week after going to the loo and passed a small clot too. Spoke to the surgery and doc rang me back within 1/2 hr and prescribed suppositories. Even after a couple of days use ( I've 6 days worth to take ) I feel loads better and in less pain. It's embarassing I know buts docs have heard and seen it all before. My thinking was I'd rather get then cleared up before my baby is due in 3 1/2 weeks than suffer with them HTH

im having exactly the same. its the hemeroids. especially if u are on iron supplement (iam also) cuz the iron will make your stools harder and darker in colour sometimes black. maybe try some lactulose to soften the stools a bit so they dont aggrevate the hemeroids. thats what im taking, its completely safe x

Hemeroids, yah. I have them but mine are internal....thank God, so no pain related. But I bleed every time I poo and I have even had several occasions where I have to wear a long panty liner because I just bleed for a few days...from there.

Phew, thanks ladies... All that blood gave me a scare but I think I can put my mind at ease now
