Love the name Mya - spelling tho?

Hey!!

Mya or Amy have always been our bumps name to be if girl and I think we are leaning towards Mya

How would you spell it, so it's not pronounced ME--UH

Sorry I've seen this posted before but can't find it and it's starting to stress me out haha I dont think Mya looks pretty written on paper but every other spelling I find most ppl say it like Mia

Mia could be taken as Me-ah (it's how I would pronounce it if I saw it spelt like that)

I think the only way to be certain people will pronounce it right is Mya. Mia looks like Me-a and Maya is pronounced by some people as May-a even though I don't think most people would because it's not really a name!

I am calling my daughter Kaia so love the spelling Maia but I know some people on here have said they would pronounce these Kay-a/May-a as well

Maya is one of my names, I never thought of it being pronounced as May-a as someone else said, it has always been the same as Mya to me and OH. Very pretty name

We are spelling it as Maya. We really didn't want anybody to call her Mee-ah. My DH wanted us to spell it differently too but I wanted it to be more simple so that maybe it wouldn't be mispronounced and maybe easier for people to spell. I hope! We debated Miya but decided on Maya.

Sorry, you are wrong on this. Maya and Maia are pronounced My-a. Not May-a like Mayo. lol I dunno where you got that from.
