I had a scan yest at 14wks and was whisked up to see a consultant as there was very little amniotic fluid. I feel so frustrated as no one was able to say what this means or offered any advice as to what I should be doing.

My job is stressfull and stresses me out daily so I dont want to be making things worse as I'm beside myself already, the next step is a scan in 2 weeks (god knows how I'll manage 2 weeks!!!)

Just wondered if anyone has been in this position or could offer any advice?

Thanks!

hi don't have any advice but didn't want to read and run
Just a big :hugs: for you...

Sorry but I have the opposite problem, too much!

However, I remember reading something on here where some ladies who had this problem made sure they drank loads to try to increase the amount. Whether this works or not, I dont know but I would say worth a try.

Also, just so you know, after all my scans and the MW chats, these things can change significantly and very quickly. Your body can do amazing things. My fluid levels appear normal now but they were 3 x more than they should have been only 3 weeks ago!!

Good luck x

I have read before about drinking lots of water. The fluid can replenish itself to. I was watching a program yesterday on twins and at one point a twin had no fluid and then a scan a week later showed it had a good few cm. Just drink drink drink. And if you job is that stressful consider going off sick for a couple of weeks. Your doctor will sing you off and your baby and your health is very important.
