Low amniotic level?? Does anyone else have this?

Had my 35 week appt yesterday and my dr said my amniotic fluid level was 8.30cm. She said it was low, but not of too much concern. Has anyone else had this issue during this pregnancy or a previous?? Not sure how this will affect the rest of my pregnancy.

Hi,yeah I've got this is only 28 weeks,I think mine is just over 9.I've got to have babys movements monitored wkly and I'm having another scan this thurs to see if they've reduced further.I think I may need weekly scans.I was told if they get lower bby cant grow as well so may need delivering earlier.But as your close to your due date am sure your be fine,and they know so will keep an eye on you I expect xx

i wonder if they measure different in the uk. Mine is 6. But thex have normal on my notes and she commented won how much i had?

Do you know if that's your deepest pool or total amount?? Because uf thats total then that is deffo very low. My total amount is 5cm and my deepest pool is only 3cm. Which means I have been diagnosed with Oligo. I have to have weekly scans to check mine, which reduces alot weekly at the moment. Any lower this week, and they will deliver my LO.

But saying that liitleblonde, you are over 37 weeks, and it does reduce somewhat after that point, so probably not an issue for you. I am only 33 weeks....

Thanks for the replies ladies...Good luck with the delivery princess pea... I was worried that maybe i would need a c-section too because of this... Desperately wanting a vbac this time!! I'm not getting measured for two more weeks...this has me a bit concerned....I don't know how much each reading was, just the overall. I'm trying to drink loads of water...read online somewhere that might help... I hope everything goes well with all of our little ones!!

yeah my deepest pool is 3.6 cm but 9.4 in total i think, ive got another scan this thurs but hoping it will be the same x

Im in the uk, and mines 9.4 in total and classed as low, gota go weekly at mo, it maybe cause your nearly at due date there not concerned? xx

Dont worry mines low and only at 28 weeks just gone : ( your be fine not long and your baby will be in your arms, hope all goes well : ) xx

I had this last pregnancy and they induced mě it ended up being fine in the end x x

Thanks Jenni, I considered VBAC too, but they took the decision out of my hands, and really I'm not bothered as long as she comes out well.

I dont have any leaking and they said there was no rupture so why would my waters be low? can you feel yours leaking? hope you dont mind me asking x
