Sorry posted this in thrid trimester but didnt get any responses so ive posted here too.

I was just wondering if anyone has had low b12 levels when they were pregnant? Ive had problems with my b12 and folic acid levels for a couple of years now and am on tablets for this. Since falling pregnant my b12 levels have continued to drop even more. Lately I have been feeling exhausted, sleeping 12 hrs (cant complain ) getting pins and needles, in other words all the symptoms of a low b12.

(Normal B12 levels: 250-1000)

My levels
Feb 2009 275
June 2009 219
August 2009 189

Anyways phoned for my result today and its 189, my MW is on holiday but the midwife on the phone said that in pregnancy they dont do anything till the levels are below 150 My own midwife said they would do something if the levels were below 200. So im a bit confused. Im thinking of going to my GP tom for a second opinion as my levels are obviously continuing to drop, and I dont want to be at the fainting passing out stage before they do anything. Is this reasonable of me? Im not saying the midwife doesnt know her job I just feel they should be proactive about the whole thing rather than just waiting and seeing. What do use think?

Thanx for reading if you got this far xoxo
