I had my 24 week appointment today and had a blood pressure reading of 90/58. Does this seem low to anybody?

A little on the low side, yes. What did your OB/midwife say?

i just commented on our thread, but no, it doesn't seem unusual. unless you have a history of higher blood pressure, or your doctor seemed concerned, this is normal. mine is always about 90/60, and it's just normal for me. was your doctor concerned? so, so many things can can a lower/high BP, and all are normal - one day at an OB appointment, i had to walk 3 flights and when i got to my appt, my BP was 120/70 (unusually high for me) 10 minutes later, it was 91/67. lol!

Blood pressure seems to drop for some women during pregnancy, especially in the second trimester.

I almost blacked out at a playgroup last week, and when I got home and checked my blood pressure it was only 90/55. My midwife isn't concerned with it, and since I had high blood pressure with my first she's actually glad to see it on the lower side this time around.

BP can be so relative. It depends if prior to your reading if you had eaten anything or had anything to drink. If you exercise regularly your BP will be lower. If your doctor wasn't worried I'd try not to worry :hugs:

Nothing wrong with that at all! That's where mine is usually at. Low bp isn't really a concern, it's when it's high that's a problem. If you weren't feeling dizzy, hungry or thirsty at that time then it's most likely that's your normal :)

Thank you so much ladies! The nurse didn't really say anything about it when she took my blood pressure. All she said was what number it was at and then left the room lol.

the doctors always look over it, and i'm sure if either the nurse or Dr. thought something was amiss, they would've told you. :)

Mine got low a few times like that last pregnancy. My midwives weren't concerned.

Mines always low-pregnant or not! sometimes I black out from it (once in a blue moon) but now I know when it's going to happen and need to top up on a bit of sugary drink to prevent it.
