hey ladies,

So i woke up this morning feeling really really light headed and dizzy, and a little bit sick, so i thought i was just hungry, so i ate breakfast and had a decaf tea, it didn't shift, but i was going to the doctors anyway, (i have thrush too, sorry tmi!) so thought i'd mention it.

The doctor was really thorough and asked lots of questions, then took my blood pressure 3 times, mentioned that it was quite low (but didn't say how low), and tested my urine, she said that i had a Water infection (or UTI), and she was very suprised that i had no other symptoms at all, as dizzyness isn't usually one of them.

I am now on Antibiotics, but can the water infection be passed onto baby at all?

I no longer feel as dizzy, but i do still feel a bit 'off' and i'm exhausted despite having a 2 hour nap earlier!

anyone else had this before?

Water infections can't be passed to baby so don't worry :) I also have low blood pressure, was 92/58 when checked by midwife on Monday but she wasn't worried. I know that when mine drops really low I can feel faint and it feels like someone is sat on my chest and have to sit down.

Thanks hun, That's what i felt like this morning, really faint, and light headed, plus my arms and legs felt really heavy and hard to lift etc.

She told me to take it easy for the rest of the day, she seemed concerned, but not too much i guess.

I've always got low blood pressure so don't think the two are connected xx

it's really strange as i saw MW last week and she said my blood pressure had been the same all they way through, and then today it drops.

She said my heart sounded fine, and to keep rested today.

Just wonder what made her think about the UTI? and why to test for it?

Did she not test your urine when you got checked the other day? x

yeah the midwife did, last thursday and it was all fine??

I saw the GP today though. she wouldn't normally check i don't think? they haven't before? xxx

think they routinely check pregnant women for urine infections because they so common x

aaah i see, that could be why then? she had a male student in with her too, so maybe she wanted to be thourough for him too?
