Hi ladies,

I was just wondering if there were any experts on estradiol levels here?

I just noticed on some routine bloodwork that my estradiol levels were low in the Luteal Phase...they were checked on cd27 and were 35. Normal range on lab report is 56-214.

I called the dr. who ran the bloodwork and he said he didn't think it was that low-that his range shows 43-214 and that if I want I can consult with my ob or fertility specialist.

I have been trying four years to get pregnant and have had failed iuis and ivf. My estradiol was checked with the ivf cycle but only prior to ovulation and was increasing as it should. All our eggs fertilized on their own....we have no idea to this day why we are infertile-everything else seems perfect on paper with both of us.

I'm desparate and pulling at straws-is there any way that low estradiol in LP can result in failure to implant or anything?

My cycles are pretty perfect, usually 28 days with ov around cd14.

thank you so much!

Gosh, I wish I had an answer for you! I just found out mine are low, too -- at 9 dpo I was a lowly 19 (progesterone nonexistant)

I'll see my FS next week and will ask her. I'll let you know what she says -- hope we get some good answers! :hugs:

Thank you...I checked with both my primary care dr., my ob/gyn AND my FS and they all said that estrogen wasn't important really in the 2ww when it's not the dominant hormone and even though it was low it swings up and down all day long and another hour could have been in the normal range. What the heck? How can it NOT be important??? And esp. when after four years ttc they can't find ANYTHING else wrong?? Thank you and good luck to you!!:hugs:

Titi, have you tried taking any supplements or acupuntcture to help? I was taking vitex but have stopped post-O. I may also discuss this issue with my acupuncturist when I see him next. I'll keep you in the loop.

I agree; 4 years of ttc and the ONLY thing off being the estrogen does seem a bit odd. Sorry it's been such a long time for you! (I'm just on 13 months right now and already going crazy).

Thanks that is sweet! I have not tried vitex. I did try maca, EPO, and about five other things I forgot over the years...Also I did accupuncture for about six months starting on month 8 of ttc and I guess gave up when I was spending too much and not seeing results. I can't afford anymore fs treatments for a WHILE now so it couldn't hurt to try and do more natural things. :dust:

hi, I have low estrogen pre-O. is that bad?
