going on a limb here to see if anyone else has had the same experience or something similar.

Saturday, Nov 12, I started spotting. More than normal spotting but not full blown bleeding either. The next day was more heavily. I went to the er & the doctor did an exam & told me my cervix was closed & wasn't dilating like it was trying to open for a miscarriage. He ordered an ultrasound for the next day & a repeat of my labs & said because of my cervix being closed & levels being where they should, he's not concerned with a miscarriage.

My very first positive test was confirmed with a blood test & my hcg levels were 53. At the er, they were 687. My repeated labs after the er visit 2 days later showed a decrease of 527 & a very low progedterone level of 3.8. I have had NO cramping whatsoever. I had a follow up appt with the obgyn today & she's pretty much just as confused as we are. On exam, she said I did have a lot of red blood & small clots, but my cervix was still closed shut. An ultrasound in the office showed my gest sac had not shrunk either, & was measuring a 5 week sac which is right on point. So from Sunday - Wednesday, my sac has not shrunk & is perfectly round still.

My question is....
Has anyone else experienced this & what was the outcome?

She isn't ruling out a miscarriage just yet because of my cervix still closed & nowhere near dilating BUT I have bleeding, low hcg level, & low progedterone levels; I did a repeat on labs & will know in the AM if they have dropped anymore. I have read on so many forums until I'm confused just as much. Some say it's a complete miscarriage & some have said their levels never rose but still had a viable healthy pregnancy & now have a healthy baby born.
