Hello All,

My wife is 6 weeks pregnant. We had her blood work done couple times last week and Doctor said that the HCG count has not increased as it is expected. In fact it was hardly increased. We asked if there is anything they can induce externally and she said No. We will be going for another blood work next week.

Has anyone here had similar situation? Can we get HCG shots at this stage of pregnancy ? We are really worried. Please let us know if you have any advise.

I don't know anything about hCG shots and when they should be given, but levels of hCG can vary a lot between pregnancies and sometimes they are slow to increase in healthy, viable pregnancies. Sometimes though, the pregnancy isn't progressing. I hope this isn't the case with you, but your bloods should shed some light on things when you next have them done
