Hi

I had an early ultrasound for gender and found out that im having a baby girl, however the tech noted that my placenta is very close to the cervix about 1.8cm from it and that it needs to be monitored. My next scan is at 20 weeks but I'm getting scared that it will not move up. Did any of you ladies experience this previously and are there any risks of miscarriage im so scared.

I had this in my last pregnancy. My midwife said nothing about a risk of miscarriage, but did put me on pelvic rest (no sex). I had a rescan around 26 weeks and everything was fine and where it should be. I went on to have a natural delivery at 40w2d.
