I'm 23 weeks (almost 24 weeks) pregnant and since about 21 weeks my baby has been super active, I can usually feel him and even see him bumping around in my tummy. I went to L&D Monday because I thought I was leaking fluid, he was moving around a lot then too. After the doctor confirmed I wasn't leaking any fluid we went home and he was still very active. Yesterday he wasn't super active and I just figured-okay he's having a lazy day. I felt him a few times every couple hours but it was nothing like what I'm used to. I was hoping that today he'd go back to bouncing around like I'm used to. But his movements are still very low. I felt him kicking a bit this morning and thought "Oh good" but over the coarse of the day he's been pretty quiet. I felt him probably about an hour ago but it was just one kick.
I really don't want to call L&D again as I was just in there, and I have an appointment Friday but I'm starting to worry. Usually if he isn't moving as much I give my belly a slight wiggle or I play some music but he's not even responding to that. Could he just be back against my back or turned towards my back so I can't feel him? Should I wait until Friday or should I call the L&D? I just feel like I'm being paranoid as I was just there and everything looked good. The L&D nurse was even surprised by the results I got on the monitor and said it looked wonderful for 23 weeks (maybe his HB or his movement? she didn't specify)
Please help ease my mind?

I'm 26 weeks and I have days quite often where he won't move as much. Sometimes it'll be a few days at a time. I have a fetal Doppler so I always check on his heartbeat, but I wouldn't worry too much. Everything I have read says not to worry about lack of movement until 28 weeks.

Thank you for the fast response. The L&D nurse said that If I was worried about movement before 28 weeks then to call them and they can always check but I feel silly as I was just there.
I am still feeling SOME movement even though I wish it was his normal movements. So I guess that's whats keeping me from calling because there is movement.
I really wish I had a fetal doppler, but I don't and I don't really have the money to buy one.

Yeah I feel silly calling too. I always try to put off calling my dr, even though I'm sure they're used to it. lol. As long as you're feeling some movement though, I wouldn't worry. I'll usually feel movements around 11pm every night and last night I didn't. I was kind of worried, but he's kicking around today so I think they just have lazy days too. Silly babies. : )

My little boy did this when I went to be checked he had turned to face my back.
He stayed backwards till birth lol
Keep a count and if your still worried they won't mind checking at all and it puts your mind at rest :)

I think he's in my back, like with his head in my spine and his feet in my pelvis. Last night he was kicking but I felt it super low like in my Vaginal area. It was really weird and this morning I felt him in my lower tummy. So I think he's just found himself a spot back there. My lower back has been hurting as well so I'm almost sure its caused from him x)

My little man was the same in the womb. Some days he would be a lazy bean. But hun, if you're worried at all then don't hesitate to call!! I called allllllll the time and trust me, there will always be others that call more than you do :p
