Hi guys. I’m 13 weeks now with my third. I found out tonight I have low papp-a results again, after I went through the same thing with my second son.
My results are very low, lower than 0.20 which puts me in the first percentile. High risk for IUGR and stillbirth. I am so upset that I am going to stress over my placenta working the whole time again. I will be specialists and have frequent growth scans, and at least I know my son was born ok so that gives me hope. I just wish I didn’t have to worry about this again.
Has anyone had low papp-a in subsequent pregnancies?

I hope you are all doing well.

I had low PAPP-A on my second and on this baby, I cant remember the numbers though and I didn't ask this time just that it was lower than average so I guess it's no where near as low as yours hun. I went into labour 10 weeks early with my second baby but it was eventually stopped and had placenta trouble afterwards, luckily it was afterwards and not before. On this baby even though its low, my placenta have been looked at each scan and it all looks fine, so I'm hoping I've some how avoided placenta issues for the second time! Are you having regular scans to make sure or what's the plan for you? I never needed extra care so I'm guessing it was only slightly under average?

Yeh, last time I had growth and uterine scans every 4 weeks and then it turned into every 2 weeks. Also had 150 of an aspirin each day too, which I assume will be the case this time.
Going into labour 10 weeks early must’ve been scary! I’m so glad for you that it stopped. Please keep me updated and let me know how you go this time around <3

So far I've reached 30 weeks without an issue, maybe I will ask the midwife next time I see her what the figure was, as all she told me before was oh low PAPP-A and that was that! How are you feeling otherwise? X

So great things have been going smoothly for you; keep me updated!
I’m feeling good. My first NIPT came back inconclusive, so I am waiting impatiently for my second NIPT results. 17 weeks now :)

So I did end up needed a hospital stay and steroid injections plus meds to stop contractions due to technically going into labour at 30 weeks, 33 weeks now and still getting contractions and what not, so have to stay off my feet as much possible! My placenta is looking great though x

Oh no!! So scary! Are your contractions painful? You poor thing. So glad your placenta is still doing it’s thing <3

They can be! Enough to keep me up at night sometimes! But they soon fizzle out thankfully! I'm not ready for baby to he here yet!

Ive just had a letter today to say I have low papp-a, this is my 4th pregnancy, never had this in my other 3 pregnancies. It is making me nervous reading the stories online.

:hugs: Hopefully everything will be ok for you & baby hun. I don't have any personal experience with this, just wanted to wish you good luck. :dust:
