Hi Ladies:

Do any of you know why then range I for 12 week pappa results? Pappa results were 1.38 and they said it was low?

Thank you!

:/ those papp-a results are high :/

I have a low papp-a at 0.23

I was told that the closer to 1 the better and anything under 0.24 was considered low

Thanks wriggley I'm utterly confused. I'm looking at my results right now it says 1.38 mom for Papp-a, and doc says it was low, I'm wondering if they misread it?
I guess I'll have to wait till next week for clarification!

Do you recall what your hcg was at 12 week?

Ill check my notes tonight for you to give you exact results but they were also considered low

To add: just checked my notes my hcg beta was 0.35 which is boarderline low THT :) x

this is the one i looked at :)

Hi Wrigg:

No, it's normal 1.38. I'm hoping and praying this remains a healthy one. I'm just in awe with doctors sometimes. Wow! I knew my paranoia would help in some shape or form :winkwink:

For now it's a normal pregnancy, but waiting for my glucose test results ;) .. how are you doing? this is number two right?

Just hope each and everyone of you check to make sure the diagnosis given to you is actually correct. I feel confident about my doctors, but they mistakes too.

I was told I had low Papp a results and was susceptible to placenta dysfunction and low baby weight. I was beyond worried and stressed for the whole weekend!

I used to research for a living and knew the number provided did not coincide with the diagnosis. And I was right! When I called the doctors office they said oops must have been a typo. I was floored. I'm thankful this wasn't a really bad diagnosis, or that I started treatment of any sort.

Just my .$02.

Hugs!

I was also told low papp a. I wish they were wrong about mine but I'm thinking probably not. I go to see the dr tomorrow so I can ask questions. I have never been so worried in my life!! Doc didn't seem too concerned on the phone though!
