Hi all,
I'm LTTTC#1, for four years now, with PCOS. I'm starting on clomid this week, assuming AF comes (I took progesterone to make sure it did, and took my last dose last night). My Dr. has me starting on day two. Anybody else in a similar boat and want to vent together?

I'm going to be starting clomid in the next week or so. I'm going to the clinic on Sunday for the "clomid chat" as they call it and I'll be ready to start when AF comes. Not really sure when to expect it as I didn't ovulate last cycle. I think it'll be this weekend/early next week though.

I think we'll be starting on CD2 too but I'll know more after Sunday.

I'm feeling really nervous about the side effects, especially the mood swings. I've tried to warn DH but I'm not sure if he gets it or not lol! How are you feeling about it?

I already finished my first round and am currently on cycle day 10. I started having hot flashes after my second dose and those have continued until today. I also had one day where I felt nauseated, but that didn't last long at all. No mood swings at all, at least not that I have noticed. Hope it works well for you!

Oh dear I don't like the sound of the hot flashes. The things we do to get a baby!

Thanks I hope it works for you first time too.

Are you having any monitoring? Keep me posted on how it goes :)

I'm not having any monitoring. I think because my last round of blood work results showed almost normal hormone levels and because my PCOS symptoms are very mild (other than the crazy cycles) the doctor is just assuming I will definitely ovulate with the Clomid. If I don't get a BFP this month I will ask about monitoring.

Hello, I'm in a similar situation too. We've been trying for 2.5 years with PCOS, and I started taking Clomid on Wednesday, also CD2. I was really worried about the symptoms, but have been fine. :) Just a bit bloated. I'm pretty tired too but I don't think that's down to the Clomid.
I heard that taking it in the evening is good, as you sleep through the symptoms (though I take it at lunchtime).
Hope my nice (so far!) experience makes you feel a little better. :)

i had my ultrasound today on day 11 after taking clomid days 3-7. i have 2 follies, 18mm each, and i will be triggering on thursday :happydance:

I now have 3 months supply of clomid, but I'm not starting it until next cycle because of the diet I'm on. I'm going to wean off of it though and be ready to go next cycle.

Good luck everyone!

forgot to mention that i had horrible hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia and mood swings on 50mg :/

Oh no. The nurse told me the side effects wouldn't be too bad on 50mg. Just got to keep thinking about why we're doing this. Eyes on the prize lol!

I just go a positive opk this morning! Now I just have to keep tracking my temps to make sure that it was a real positive and not a pcos false positive. I'm pretty sure I'm really ovulating though, which means this cycle was pretty much perfect. Five day period (that has never EVER happened to me before. Even at age nine I was getting 7-14 day periods) and ovulation on day 14!

Hello ladies,
I thought I would give you some insights on clomid. I started it back in march and I had hot flashed and sometimes bad migraines. I needed to be on this because I don't ovulate on my own. However this cycle was my 6th Cycle and it will be my last unless my OBGYN says otherwise on the 10th of Oct. I am hoping I get my bundle of joy this month. Clomid has worked for my friends and some have gotten pregnant in the first cycle. This does not always happen. Good luck ladies and a lot of baby dust to you!
