lump - any advice

Hi Ladies, I have been BFing for 12 months (no real worries so far) but last night I noticed my breast was a bit sore when I was going to bed. I didnt really look at it because it was dark and I was tired, I actually though LO might have scratched me or pinched me (she does that sometimes)
anyway today its sore again and I have a small lump above the nipple, at the edge or the areola. it looks a bit like a insect bite, is tender and a tiny bit red.
Im well otherwise, no fevers etc and the bump itself is a bit red as Ive said but its not red to rest of the breast

Ive google it a bit and keep coming back to milk spots/blocked ducts or blebs....but it doesnt look/sound exactly like any of those.
anyone had any thing similar

should I be worried??
what should I do??

any advice is welcome.

It could be anything from a bite as katteh has said or a blocked follicle. If your worried, I would book a GP appointment to put your mind at ease x
