Lupron as trigger??

My FS wants me to use lurpron as a trigger this time to avoid OHSS. I'm pretty nervous about this. Lupron always gives me stomach issues. And he said my trigger dose would be 5ml I think?? So confused. Can't remember. Has anyone used lupron as trigger with luck?? What was your dose?

I've never heard of this. I just took Lupron today to shut down my ovaries in order to get ready for DEIVF. It downregulates the LH hormone that you need to ovulate. Isn't fsh the only trigger shot that docs use?
Maybe he was thinking he'd start you on Lupron before your ivf and didn't communicate clearly? Sorry, it's confusing what he's proposing.

I've heard of that. The doctors were describing its "agonist" properties in a little more detail than I needed. All I remember is the metaphor they used: it's like putting on the brake pedal. When you only do it a little bit (one shot, like a trigger) the body responds with a surge.
