Anyone heard of using a Lush Sex Bomb to "induce" labor? Someone mentioned it, and I looked it up and did find some people saying they went into labor after having a bath with one. I looked up the ingredients, and it kind of makes sense why it might work, especially with the ingredients I put in bold...
-Ingredients:
Sodium Bicarbonate , Citric Acid , Sodium Sesquicarbonate , Fragrance , Soya Milk (Glycine soja) , Synthetic Musk , Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum officinale) , Clary Sage Oil (Salvia sclarea) , Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) , Titanium Dioxide , Propylene Glycol , *Limonene , *Linalool , Methyl Ionone , FD&C Red No. 4 , FD&C Red No. 27 , D&C Red No. 33 , Rice Paper Flower

I will be 39 weeks on Thursday. On Friday (38 week appt) I was 2cm and I had a membrane sweep. I had some mild contractions and spotting later in the day, and lost a huge chunk of my mucus plug the next morning. I had a lot of (irregular) contractions throughout that day, and I continued to spot and lose bits of my plug. I'm going to have a bath with the bath bomb tonight, so fingers crossed that it will get things moving ;) I've had so many contractions these past few days, just nothing regular or labor-strong.

I haven't heard of it putting people in labour but I'm a major Lushie and when I had a bathtub that was one of my favourite bombs. Either way you will have an amazing bath and smell like a dream after....it's supposed to have the aphrodisiac smell so maybe that will help labour get going too :winkwink:

Interesting... Keep us updated. I have heard alot about Clary Sage Oil.

Id totally try that :haha: Clary sage i am pretty sure helped with DD2!

Oh I have one of these someone gave me for my birthday that I didn't use because I was pregnant and I wasn't sure what was in it. I might treat myself to a nice long soak now.

I'm really confused Shandelion... she's not going to eat the bath bomb :haha:
Nor have you stated the risk in pregnancy of the chemical?

Although I totally agree that once we decide we want these babies out, all the previous concerns often go out the window :dohh: :haha:

Thanks!!!! Bath bomb, missed that part! Eep :)

I love lush however throughout my whole pregnancy any lush product has started giving me thrush!! Will not hesitate to try it if baby is very late though!! xx

Interesting, I love Lush, just wish we had one here!! I would be all over that to try! I rather not have a full week of false starts like last time. Last night was killer on me!!

Ha this is brilliant! My uncle owns lush (Mark Constantine), I'm going to show him this! Lol might give it a go too!

I had my bath bomb bath and I got nothing but relaxed. Which is a good thing. I suspect like most things it just helps if everything is ready to start anyways

Might stock up when i go to meadowhall at the weekend for when im term, i love lush bath bombs so much my skin always feels lovely after. Good luck

Well I am still pregnant, haha. The sex bomb is totally worth it even if it doesn't help you go into labor though, it smells amazing. So I totally recommend it anyway! I'm probably gonna have a bath with my other one tonight, but mostly because I can't wait to sniff it and have a nice relaxing bath!
