Hello everyone. Just wondering how many other ladies out there have a luteal phase defect and need progesterone to sustain a pregnancy. I had to be on progesterone starting at cd 22 to maintain a healthy pregnancy with my third son. Never had these problems with my previous two children. Well last week dh and I got a very surprise bfp, so of course we were excited but scared at the same time being that we just had our third in April. Since I had problems with my third child I started on progesterone right away, only 200 mg orally as I wasn't sure if I would continue to have problems carrying to term again. So I had my hcg tested and level was at 12 at 16dpo and progesterone at 19.5. Immediately I knew this pregnancy was probably in danger. Three days later I had hcg tested again and was at 7 so I stopped the progesterone and am not bleeding . Dh and I are now actively ttc conceive again bc
We want a fourth child (last one) and were excited at the thought of having two close in age (other kids are all 4 years apart). I'm so nervous that this will be another journey of month after month of miscarriages. Has anyone had success immediately while on progeterone during your tww? If so how high was your dosage? Did you take any other supplements on top if progesterone? Also what caused your luteal phase defect? I think mine is caused by my thyroid condition. Would love to hear some of your stories
