just wondered if anyone knows if its ok to lie on ur belly when you 9 weeks ?? xx:headspin:

I did with both of mine until the end , and as im 4 weeks preg n only had 2nd baby 8 weeks ago I ibtend to lay on belly this time to as bac is to painfull xx

yes it's fine up to the point where it gets uncomfortable for you. When you get bigger you won't want to sleep on your front but at this early stage, any sleeping position you like is totally fine. Your baby is very well protected in your pelvis and you won't squash it.
Once you get into the 2nd trimester and you get a bump, you may want to start trying to use pillows etc to train yourself into sleeping on your left hand side. This is supposed to be the best position for later pregnancy as when the bump gets really big, lying flat on your back for a period of time may cut off circulation to the arteries that are being squashed by your bump.

thanx... i feel massive tho already :( xx

I did it with my first until I started to get uncomfortable (around second tri)

With these two it's already starting to get uncomfy so I mostly sleep on my side now

when its not ok you will know as it will feel horrible!

I'm at 11 weeks and i'm still doing it - honestly i do it until it gets uncomfortable - even when i'm at 9 months i would turn over as much as i could possibly to my side before i was on my stomach and it was sooo comfy.

I think it is just fine:) I sleep on my belly until it is not comfortable anymore.

thanx i just cant seem to get comfy at the min im so restless and waking in the night... might be coz i got a bunged nose tho xx

I've heard a lot of people mention maternity pillows can help you get comfy? Might be worth a google!

i think im goin to have a look, thanx xx

Im still doing it at 13 wks, and intend on carrying on til it gets too uncomfortable, it's my favorite way to sleep so i may as well stockpile while i still can! :) Baby is well cushioned, dont think you can do it the slightest bit of harm.
