Does anyone know long you can leave the made up warmed through milk bottles out.

ie Riya drinks about 70ml and then nods off only to wake up about 30 mins later when I feed her the other 70ml.

Is the old milk still likely to be okay, or should I make up a fresh batch for risk of bacteria etc.

I was told you can use them for at leats 4 hours, or put them in the fridge and they last longer?!
But i've only just started to bottle feed mine xxx

I thought it was 2 hours after they have been warmed but others will probably know more than me as I have only just moved to bottle feeding.

some tubs of formula say a hour after its been warmed but some say 2 hours so i threw it away after an hr just 2 b sure, especially while they r very young x

My friend told me, and her midwife told her, after making them up you can leave them for 4 hours xxx

2 hrs you can leave it out for then it needs to be thrown away and dnt reheat

I always thought an hour, but SMA have new tubs out which say 2 hours on them, 30 mins for her will be fine hun!

I don't warm mine, Freya has them straight from the fridge. Once I have taken the lid off I never keep it more than an hour.

I was told it can be left out for 2 hours though we only left ours out for an hour tops

If you have made them up and left them on the side without being touched you can leave them for 4 hours. This is cause they are almost completely sterile.
Once they have been drunk from any bacteria from babies mouth can potentially breed in bottle so unused milk should be thrown after 2 hours
this is the advice we have been given and are following with no problms
xx

Yeah thats what i've been told xxx

My midwife (who has 3 kids) said 4 hours

my health visitor (who has no kids) said an hour.

personally I would go with an hour left out - as in you made it an hour ago, and it should be fine for 4 put in the fridge.
