Technically I think it sounds nice but it really is an invitation for bullying. If anything I'd maybe consider it as a nickname for something more formal, like Mabel or Marbella. But I agree the 'maybe' thing is going to haunt her.

I agree with above - is it short for something? It sounds cute - but as a full name could be a bit weird, sorry.
