Hi all,
Just a quick question, my little girl came home from special care last week and I'm expressing and giving her 1 nutraprem formula feed a day to help her weight gain (only 3lb 10iz atm).
Anyway I was shocked to hear you had to boil a kettle for the formula and then leave it to cool for 30 mins before you can use it then you have to bin whatever is left after an hour. In the past when looking after babies, you could make up a few feeds and store in the fridge. It's hard to pre-empt when she will wake for a feed and if she does wake early I dont want her waiting 30 mins!
So the question is, do you make up feeds in advance? Can I boil the water, allow to cool and then store in a sterilised bottle in the fridge? Then just add the powder when she wakes and warm up the bottle?
Many thanks for any help
