SO I've been off the pill since January 2009, and am currently 30 years old. DH is turning 41, but had lead an exciting life in mining, smoked on and off till 2005, got surgery for testicular cancer in 2005 (but no chemo or radiation). He's finally decided to cut back on booze, mtn biking, and enjoying 'Canada's biggest export', in August. His first SA came back on the low side of normal for everything except morphology which was HIGHLY abnormal - no tails, vacuoles, broken tails. The next one in September showed normal morphology, but low motility. Our family dr. said it will be very challenging with two poor test results.

DH took the results as 'together they are either really good or really bad'. :dohh:

Everything is fairly normal with me, but tomorrow I'm getting 12 samples drawn for everything from B12 to HIV.

Guess it's time to sit back and focus on career.

It's been so long and anti-climatic!

mtngirl - I understand what your going through!!! But hang in there that you will soon get options!!! Now a days there is always options.

When we started out ttc we found out my DH had low motilitly and now have come to find out that I also have blocked tubes. I just feel like it's one thing after the other. BUt we have to have faith and believe that it will all work out in the end. These are just some obsticules that we will get over. No worries :)

Good luck on your test!!!!!

mtngirl - so sorry for your upsetting news. it is so hard to shoulder those tough kinds of issue that we dont have much control over. i wish you all the luck in the world and hope that your results come back normal for the bloods. if anything, be thankful you hubby has sperm, as it just takes one. even if there are some issues with them, i have trouble believing there wouldnt be even just some that are normal and capable of fertilizing an egg. i have faith, like PR&TR said that its just a setback and you guys will have your family someday...the tough thing is waiting for it!

we got bad news this week with DHs sperm being non-existent , so we are currently working with nothing. frustrating for me b/c i know i ovulate and dont have any issues, so its sad to be going through a cycle knowing there is NO chance. we see a urologist soon, and hope to get some answers as to why and how to correct the problem.

Let us know how your results come out and good luck to you two!

I just had the blood tests, but moving for a work contract (4-6 months)- luckily it's a big city, so any issues on my end (because who knows?) will be easier to deal with.
Thanks for the support. Debating between finding a great gay man to be a donor, or donating my eggs (I'm 30, and some of them are probably good ones, may as well get used).
