LO is 10 weeks and has been diagnosed with Silent Reflux, her brother had it too until he was about 6 1/2 months. I've started her on gaviscon but if anything it's making things worse, she's using tommee tippee bottles at the moment but I've read that Mam's or Dr Brown bottles might help. Just looking for some reviews either way :flower:

My LO was prescribed Gaviscon and it did nothing but constipate him. SMA staydown worked for him with Dr Brown's bottles. MAM are good but Dr Browns are amazing! The SMA staydown and Dr browns bottles did wonders for my LO's reflux.

How do you find the SMA staydown? I tried it once with my son and he choked a bit so I never used it again. How do you deal with going out, it has to be refridgerated doesn't it? xx

I had to go up a teat size and i just took cool water out with me. You can stir it with a weaning spoon as you cant shake.

Most of the time i didnt use refridgerated water, just cool water and it mixed just the same. It was a lifesaver for me and LO

xx

Dr. Brown's are working quite well for our son's gas issues, but they are a pain to clean!

We use the anti colic TT bottles with the number 3 teat. We use comfort milk the cow and gate one. She was also prescribed gaviscon by the consultant and if mixed with the milk it's too thick. So we used to give it to her through a syringe.

Touch wood since starting solids at 16 weeks she has been much better. She is now off all her meds.

We did try the dr browns but she wasn't interested in them.

Good luck, I know how hard it is. X x

Im not sure about reflux but dr brown bottles are amazing for wind issues.

Forgot to mention. I used MAM teats with the Dr browns bottles. x

Thanks everyone, I've actually tried doing what I did with DS and mixed the comfort milk and the gaviscon together and made the teat hole bigger in the tommee tippee bottle. She finished the whole bottle and only needed burped once so I'm really hoping I might have found a solution but if not I'll def try the Dr Brown bottles :-) xxx

Dr browns bottles are half price at lloyds pharmacy xxx

They are £10 for 2 in Asda too at the minute :) I brought some as my daughter was using TT but kept crying non stop during feeds and after for ages. Since using Dr Brown this has totally stopped!!! x
