I don't know whether this is classed as bullying or not but could do with some advice, it sounds really petty but here goes..................

About a year ago there were 2 of us in a team doing the same job, the workload increased and it was decided that we would move to the office that we had in the next town and join that office with 6 others, our manager would remain in the office that we were leaving and is still our manager. The new office has a manager and we all have had a run in with her for one reason or another. Generally she is gobby, always right and always ontop of you, if she asked you to do something she would ask you within 5 minutes if you had done it and if you hadn't then she will get angry and order you around. She is always right and we are always wrong, making you feel small, sometimes doubting yourself and generally making you feel small, she never gives you the benefit of the doubt and twists things to cause an argument.

We are all unhappy and are all ready to walk out if she has a go at us one more time.

We are all unhappy and there is an atmosphere when she is in, there have been a few members of staff that have left partly because of her but have never said anything to the higher management we don't feel like we can say something to the manager above as we are not sure what they could do other than have a word with her and we would still have to work with her.

I have tried to just let it go over my head and ignore the comments and just to get on with my job to the best of my ability but there is so much bitching about the whole situation that it gets me down

So, the manager of the office you work in now isn't in charge of you? You still answer to the manager of your previous office? Sorry am bit confused... haha

xx

Could you not have a word with your own manager?

I've been in a similar situation at work because I work very closely with a particular department but that department head isn't my manager. However, we don't have a manager as such we have a team-leader and beyond that we report directly to head office and don't have much contact with them. So, the department manager (who's not actually MY manager) took to bossing me around in much the same way.

Eventually, myself and the other members of staff in the same situation complained to our store manager and the issue did get resolved. Hope that helps x
