Anyone know any hidden gems that are nice to go for food? My OH and I love pub food, american and italian. We're off on a date night tomorrow but we'd like a change from the usual mainstream restaurants so wondering if there are any nice hidden places in the outerskirts (stockport way) or anything like that?

Any recommendations would be awesome

Not sure about hidden gems but rusholme is always nice  Not american or italian though is it haha :haha:

Sadly not  plenty of choice of curry though! Too bad i'm not a fan of curry :dohh:

Almost Famous is quite literally hidden! It's on high street in northern quarter, there's not a sign for it - through the wooden door next keko moku, through an officey like bit and into the restaurant upstairs for amazing burgers, beer and cocktails!

Also is manchester city centre - grill on the alley is one of my favourite places, for italian theres san carlo near kendals (celeb hang out). Stocks is lovely but pricey at night (good for a lunch deal). Panama hattys is great but mexican so not italian or American!

More stockport way, there's the Elizabethan, Kro or The Orangery in heaton moor. All do nice food but are all bars too so might be a bit crowded on a friday night.

Further out in disley is Contis, a small but nice Italian. In bramhall I would recommend Napa.

The Lead Station in chorlton is nice too.

Have a lovely night!

Panama Hatties is fab! But Mexican so might not appeal to you x

My brother lives in Manchester and he is obsessed with almost famous!!!!

Almost famous sounds fab!! Might try and convince OH we need to go!

Greens in Didsbury. It's Simon Rimmer's restaurant, vegetarian and amazing.
