Manual Breast pump at 38 weeks?

Hey everyone!

What have your experiences been re: breast stimulation to jump start labour? I know things are controversial but have any of you actually tried it? I’m 38 weeks today, a FTM and my Lansinoh arrived yesterday. Lol

It apparently doesn't do anything unless you're in active labor. Yes, using it will release oxytocin and cause contractions, but they'll be fruitless unless you're already in it.

I agree with drudai, I've heard that they can give your painful and fruitless contractions.
