Anyone had any experience of this kinda thing?

Was talking to DH and for all he's not RC he knows how important it is to me and how much I want it done so he said, if that's what I really want, to speak to my parish priest.

We don't want a fuss, just us and our parents really, maybe closest friends too, but that's it. Just something oersonal, 10 mins, just for us. no big shebang. We're having our party that night but that's completely seperate.

Any thoughts ladies?

Know ideas hun but will keep a eye on this thread as i want mine doing ..

....Both myself and OH had been married before and when married each other we niped to a registry office with a couple of strangers to witness, then we went to our local town for a night out.

I really want to renew our vows in a church properly with close family there.

Have you any ideas when you want to do it?

on our wedding anniversary next month. We don't want a fuss though, just us or just us and our parents, no flowers or anything, something like that, 10 minutes and that's it, kinda thing.

SIL had her vows renewed and marriage blessed and made a whole song and dance about it and well, behind her back everyone is still like "oh aye, her attention seeking thing" it was the whole fanfare thing and OTT. See, she had the wedding she wanted and the party etc etc, then had that, hence people banging on. We didn't have a party and compromised on everything, literally everything because of my health and DH wants to make that right. If we do it though, I just want something immensly simple, no fuss.

OMG the priest said YES! :happydance: I'm getting married all over again to the most wonderful man in the world!

What great news!! I hope you have a really special day x

thanks hun :D

we told DHs family today and asked the kids to do their little jobs (bridesmaids, ring bearer and usher) we really wanted to get all the kids involved so...as expensive as it'll be...it's all good!

My mum had a blessing with her second marriage as she couldnt get married in church. She did the registrar thing then had a church blessing then the reception, it was lovely.
