Mask of pregnancy

Hey, has anyone got mask of pregnancy? Its where you get dark pigmentation on your face. Why does this happen? Is it the hormones? Is is the same reason why the areola goes darker aswell.

I havent got it, but my freckles have become heaps more noticable which is annoying!

I have darkened skin in my armpits and round my neck like a necklace when pregnant. It look slike dirt and is totally awful. The freckles on my face become more pronounced. Here is a link about it:

i had it pre preg caused by the contraceptive pill, about thre months after having her, it had gone though. somethin to do with hormones

I've got it on my cheeks at the top - I quite like it, think it's because when I wanted to get pregnant I was always looking out for it!!!! Haven't got one of those stomach lines though.
