Can anyone advise? I am filling in my Maternity allowance form, as i have been self employed for the last 8 years. I am behind on paying my class 2 NI contributions as didn't have the direct debit set up for quite some time (overlooked!!) and am paying them in installments via a payment plan to pay the outstanding amount and have the current ones being paid normally by monthly direct debit. Anyone know if i am likely to be refused MA because of the outstanding amount? Should i explain this in detail on the extra information part of the form?

Anyone have experience of this?

Thanks in advance!

I was about £400 behind when I became pregnant. Paid it off In a oner and got ma without any problem.
Sorry that doesn't quite answer the question as you are on a plan, but I do know if you clear it you will definitely qualify.

Call them up and ask, that's the only way to know for sure
